Innovative Support to employment of Rural marginalized groups - SyneRgi .

Rural development policy forum of SEE countries

10-12.09.2019. From 10th to 12th September 2019, the Rural development policy forum of SEE countries was held in Zlatibor (Serbia). The Forum is organized by national networks dealing with rural development, as umbrella organizations of the CSO’s of the Balkan countries and Development Foundation of Turkey. The Forum is financially supported by EU (through ALTER project) and Visegrad International Fund (through SINERGY project) and Zlatibor Eko Agrar Ltd.

The Rural development policy forum of SEE countries 2019 addressed the topic of the position of youth in rural areas. The Forum was attended by relevant stakeholders in this field (representatives of regional and national youth networks, representatives of European, regional and national rural development networks, representatives of relevant ministries and institutions for youth, representatives of civil society organizations, journalists, as well as youth from rural areas of the Balkan countries ). The Forum was attended by over 50 participants from 12 countries.

Training “Social entrepreneurship as model for marginalized groups’ employment”

30.05.2019. On May 29 and 30, 2019 in the village of Bogetići, the municipality of Niksic (Montenegro), training of trainers on the subject "Social entrepreneurship as a model of employment of marginalized groups" was conducted. The training was conducted as part of the project "Innovative Support for Employment of Rural Marginalized Groups - SineRgi", financed by the Visegrad International Fund, implemented by a consortium of non-governmental rural networks and organizations from the countries of the Western Balkans and Visegrad countries.
The training was attended by 13 representatives of the networks for rural development of the countries of the Western Balkans (two from each country and three from Montenegro). The training was provided by two trainers Magdalen Curillova from Slovakia (Social Enterprise Hrhovské oblasti) and Petra Francova (P3 - People, Planet, Profit, Prague) from the Czech Republic.
During the training, the participants had the opportunity to learn about the history and key challenges of social entrepreneurship policies in the EU, the Czech Republic and Slovakia and how the Local Action Groups support social entrepreneurship in these countries. Also, participants presented concrete examples of social entrepreneurship based on rural development in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, as well as examples of good practice for hiring marginalized groups. Presented were an electronic brochure entitled "Opportunities for the Development of Social Farming for Social Service Providers" in English as a systematized set of experiences of the Czech Republic in this field.
In addition to the presented knowledge and experience, the participants in the training divided into 3 groups worked on identifying a possible model of social entrepreneurship in their countries, identifying possible businesses for social entrepreneurship, and developing project ideas for social entrepreneurship and employment / support for marginalized groups. After the workshop, each group publicly presented its ideas and business plans for social entrepreneurship. They were commented by the participants, discussions on possible models of social entrepreneurship development, and trainers gave their recommendations for improving business ideas.
The significance of the project is reflected in the fact that networking of stakeholders from the countries of the Western Balkans and Visegrad countries is supported. Also, the topics of social entrepreneurship and the employment of marginalized groups are very current and of great importance for the development of the Western Balkans, and their implementation ensures compliance with European standards and experiences.

Implemented the training of trainers “Role of LAGs in employment marginalized groups”

30.03.2019. The training of trainers "Role of LAGs in employment marginalized groups" was implemented on 26th and 27th March 2019 in Durres (Albania). This activity is part of the project “Innovative Support to employment of Rural marginalized groups – SyneRgi” financed by the Visegrad International Fund. Its implementation is performed by the consortium of non-governmental networks and organisations from Western Balkan and Visegrad countries. The project activity training of trainers "Role of LAGs in employment marginalized groups" was organized for 12 represents from Western Balkan Rural Development networks (2 from each country). The training, provided by 2 trainers Monika Slaninova from VIDA SK and Zuzana Guthová from Regional Association of the National Network of LAGs Czech Republic, South Bohemia. During the training participants have opportunity to improve knowledge about role of LAGs in employment marginalized groups and possibility to use multi-funding approaches in planning and using different funds to support local initiatives. Also participants has opportunity to learn about experience of Visegrad countries about identification of marginalized groups in LAG territory, identification his needs and planning measures to support marginalized groups. The project importance reflects in the fact that is supported networking of stakeholders from Western Balkan countries and Visegrad countries. Also the mentioned topics have great importance for the development of the Western Balkan and their implementation ensures the compliance with European standards and experiences.

Movies for Short Food Chain supply systems

18.03.2019. As part of a Campaign for Short Food Chain supply systems in Poland Foundation for Promotion of Podhale Region, Forum for Activating Rural Regions, Our Kaszow Association and Polish Environmental Partnership Foundation published very useful movies about actual themes. We recommend to all stakeholders from Western Balkan to watch movies and to learn on the experience of Poland. Ten movies for Short Food Chain supply systems were published. Press conference of project “Role of LAGs in employment marginalized groups”

26-27.03.2019. We invite all media and interested public to participate on press conference of the training of trainers "Role of LAGs in employment marginalized groups" will be implemented from 26th to 27th March 2019 in Durres (Albania). 05-06.12.2018. Two day regional training of trainers “Short supply chains as possibility for employment” was held in Chachak (Serbia) from 5th to 6th December 2018. The training of trainers "Short supply chains as possibility for employment" organized for 12 represents from WB RD networks (2 from each country). It was 2 day training, provided by 2 trainers of Polish Rural Forum (PRF). Training provided relevant knowledge about short supply chains in agriculture and rural economy for representatives of the rural networks from Western Balkan. Trained trainers will be source of knowledge at national level and also will improve capacities of the networks to support employment marginalized groups.
The project importance reflects in the fact that is supported: networking of stakeholders from Western Balkan countries and in rural development. The mentioned topics have great importance for the development of the Western Balkan and their implementation ensures the compliance with European standards and experiences. Innovative approaches in supporting employment of marginalized groups

18.08.2018. The Visegrad International Fund approved funding of the project under the title "Innovative Support to employment of Rural marginalized groups - SyneRgi". The project was submitted by Network for Rural Development of Serbia on behalf of partnership between members of the Balkan Rural Development Network (Rural Development Network in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albanian Network for Rural Development, Network of Organizations for Rural Development of Kosovo, Network for Rural Development of Montenegro, Rural Development Network of the Republic of Macedonia) and partners from three Visegrad countries (Polish Rural Forum, Regional Association of the National Network of LAGs Czech Republic - South Bohemia, Rural Parliament in Slovakia). Main focus of the project is innovative approaches in supporting employment of marginalized groups thru short supply chains.
The project will be implemented in period 01/10/2018-31/10/2019.

Polish Rural Forum has experience in the field of short supply chain also in Serbia (even in 2018). This is a very important topic and is of great interest to Poland, that's why many PRF members and others known to us implement tasks in this field. PRF and Network for Rural Development of Serbia cooperate since 2010 (project "RuralNet" financed by EC) and they implement several joint projects and actions, including project "Building of Rural Development Resources in Balkan region - No BoRDeR" financed by Visegrad Fund. Also NRDS use expertise of KASMAS in development resources for LAG development in 2017. Also both partners are members of EU network PREPARE and intensively cooperate in rural development of Europe.
